How Much Does a Destination Wedding Cost in 2027?

Getting married in Tuscany, along the French Riviera, or in Mallorca is a dream shared by many couples around the world. But what does it truly cost to bring that vision to life?

The answer depends on your guest count, chosen destination, level of service, and the complexity of your celebration. For most couples working with Moda Mariage, budgets range from €25,000 to €150,000 or more. Below, we break down each cost category so you can plan with confidence.

Wedding Size: The Single Biggest Variable

Guest count drives more of your budget than any other factor. Here is a general reference:

Wedding Type Guest Count Estimated Budget
Elopement / Micro Wedding 2–20 guests €5,000 – €25,000
Intimate Wedding 20–40 guests €25,000 – €50,000
Mid-Size Wedding 40–80 guests €50,000 – €90,000
Luxury Celebration 100+ guests €100,000+

Venue

The venue sets the entire tone of your celebration. Many of our couples are drawn to châteaux in Provence, clifftop estates along the Amalfi Coast, or historic villas on Lake Como and in Sicily. These properties typically require an exclusive buyout, ranging from €30,000 to €100,000 or more during peak season.

One critical detail: the most sought-after venues are booked well over a year in advance. Beginning your venue search early is necessary.

Catering & Beverages

Every element of the dining experience, from the menu concept to wine pairings and open bar service, is crafted around your taste and your guests’ expectations. For 100 guests, catering typically represents €25,000 to €60,000, inclusive of full staffing and service.

Photography & Videography

A luxury editorial photographer in Europe starts from approximately €6,000, with videography from €5,000. For multi-day celebrations or two-photographer coverage, budgets scale accordingly. These are memories you will hold for a lifetime.

Florals & Decor

Floral design typically ranges from €10,000 to €30,000, depending on the scale of your vision and the varieties chosen. Importing non-local flowers , peonies from the Netherlands, cherry blossoms from Japan can significantly increase costs and requires careful logistics. Working with a planner who understands both aesthetic intention and supply chain realities makes all the difference.

Guest Logistics

When guests travel from across continents, seamless logistics become part of the hospitality. Private transfers, shuttles, and group accommodation can range from €5,000 to €15,000 depending on group size and distances involved.

Multicultural Ceremony Elements

For Asian-European celebrations, a specialty at Moda Mariage. There are additional elements unique to fusion weddings that should be accounted for in your planning:

  • Traditional ceremony setup (Chinese tea ceremony, altar arrangements, ceremonial accessories): €2,000–€5,000

  • Multiple bridal looks and corresponding styling sessions: €1,500–€4,000

  • Bilingual MC or officiants, and translated ceremony materials: €1,000–€3,000

  • Cultural catering elements (Chinese banquet dishes, fusion menus): variable, see Catering above

  • Additional florals or decor for dual ceremony spaces: variable
